We operate in 12 offices throughout New York, Connecticut, and Rhode Island with approximately 200 employees.
Revenue is derived from approximately 56% percent in our commercial and personal lines practice, 39% in our employee benefits group, and 5% in our surety group. The combined three business units place over $1.2 Billion in annual insurance premiums for our clients. Rose & Kiernan currently maintains contractual relationships with nearly 300 property/casualty, and employee benefits insurance companies, wholesale brokers, managing general agencies, and specialty underwriting facilities. Derek Hannon has been a licensed property, casualty, life and health insurance agent since 1995. Derek joined Rose & Kiernan, Inc. in 2004 through a corporate acquisition. A 1996 graduate of Western Connecticut State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Justice and Law Administration, he also maintains the Accredited Advisor of Insurance (AAI), and Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designations. Derek currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Regional YMCA of Western Connecticut.
